A most extraordinary slicer

Chances are that the ability to cope with changes in demand will head a long list of priorities for most, if not all, processors of cooked meats, bacon and cheese. It's hardly surprising as these days consumers, and the major retailers that supply them, show little or no patience – when they say jump, it means jump - now!

Those 'processors under pressure' include small to medium producers of specialist hams, cooked meats or cheese, contract cutters supplying the majors with own brand packs, and the 'big boys' who create and produce varying volumes - often high - of high quality niche products.

Operators of ordinary slicers would understandably regard such irregular patterns of behaviour with  a degree of reluctance and even concern, but now, thanks to new thinking and technology, their worried frowns can turn to wide grins.

For the first time on a slicer of this size, a high speed involute blade is utilised for high volume production of typically standard, formed products such as luncheon meat, processed ham, and bacon. 

If required, the machine can be easily and quickly configured to operate with an orbital blade to produce finer cuts on a wide range of products like pates, salamis, natural hams and soft cheese.

It can produce a variety of different products with minimal downtime, thanks to very fast changeover time.

A load assist facility makes product loading easy and quick and helps avoid RSI.

It is designed for easy hygiene with all product contact parts being easy to remove.

It can operate as a stand alone machine or as part of an integrated fixed or catch weight system.

A range of upgrade packages including stacker, variety conveyor and interleaver are  available when required to ensure that PolySlicer 1000 retains its optimum performance and gives a good return on investment.
