A feed screw from the hopper conveys input material through a pre-sizer into a vane pump, which pumps the meaty bones into the filter.
Pressure build-up inside the filter is generated through an adjustable restraint. The pressure causes meat to extrude through the filter, while the auger discharges the bone residue through the restraint, simultaneously keeping the inside of the filter clean.
Applied in combination with the special filter configuration, the low pressure ensures a coarse textured end-product.
The Roto Coarse accepts all types of poultry bones with a minimum of 50% meat on the bone, including back pieces, breastcaps, wishbones or whole birds.
