Overview
Marel's IBS3000 Profile is a fully automatic, high speed, high yield bacon slicer that delivers outstanding production volumes with exceptional pack weight accuracy. The integrated laser scanner gives precise pack control by making a high resolution 3D scan of every bacon primal. The bacon is weighed by an integrated scale before slicing, enabling effective yield and throughput measurement.
Optimised Performance
IBS3000 Profile can operate as an independent unit or as part of a complete bacon slicing and packing system. By combining feedback from the slicer outfeed checkweigher with our unique end of line checkweigher feedback, the IBS3000 Profile achieves unprecedented control of giveaway while maximising on-weights. This integrated bacon slicing system is self regulating and optimising and achieves consistently high performance with supreme precision and productivity.
Line Intelligence
IBS3000 Profile produces the high percentages of on-weights that enable bacon processors to achieve the high levels of automation they have always sought.
Typically, the bacon slicer would be linked with a checkweigher, robot loading and packaging and a complete End of Line system, including labelling, metal detection, checkweighing, packing and crate labelling to form a complete slicing and packing system.
In the Baconline below, the G1000 Checkweigher located after the Thermoformer and Converger feeds information back to the slicer after the sliced product has passed along the line, taking into account the make-weight station.
This information comprises real time data about the complete line performance that is fed back to the slicer which then adjusts its operating parameters to provide a stable, controlled and therefore optimum operating performance.
This delivers a number of benefits including: maximised yields and constant monitoring of any variation in product to give consistent product flow and output. And, because the level of human intervention and handling is minimised, costs are greatly reduced.
