Overview
Can you spot a bone? We can!
Marel introduces the new SensorX bone detection system that automatically finds bones and other foreign objects in poultry meat.
It was designed to tackle the chicken bone problem that, until now, has been an unavoidable part of chicken processing.
The SensorX scans the product using advanced X-ray technology. Detected contaminants can be highlighted on a high-resolution colour display for easy removal.
The SensorX commonly achieves a 99% detection rate on calcified bones larger than 2mm, with false positives below 3%.

Where in the process?
The SensorX bone scanner was designed to be used in the wet environment of the deboning area. All common deboning methods unavoidably leave bones in a substantial percentage of the meat. Marel recommends that the bone issue is tackled at the source, right after deboning.
Software
The SensorX system intergrates with Marel's intelligent production software Innova.
Innova provides the complete IT solution for the modern food processor to monitor production, optimize profits and improve overall performance. Innova monitors and delivers real-time information during production.
